Hey, I'm Sophie

Several years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a whole new phase of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something more significant.
The opening months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Warm Stone Fable
Most information online fell into two camps: corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Switzerland.
